The College Essay I wrote About CostcoMy girl friend Emily recently took a college essay writing class in her college and she wrote a sweetly personal essay about Costco. She really came to life when describing the dangers of having to drive into the store and finding that the man working at the front desk had thrown her an additional fee because the car was only two inches longer than a Ford Focus. Because of this write up she got great advice from me.When I write it's because I'm interested in helping others find success. My friend's essay, while not perfect, was a beautiful testament to our society's hypocrisy. She told the story of how she and her husband eventually lost their job and she is saving up enough money to move back home. The problem is that she has been living at a friend's house for two years and can't even make the minimum payments on the home that she once shared with her husband. In order to survive she is doing everything she can to go back to college and get her degree so that she can better her life.I think that this is really sad because everyone wants to be able to live a better life. They want to do what's best for themselves and they want to help other people in the process. Unfortunately, that doesn't always translate into an upper class family trying to achieve this goal.When I write about these things, I think about how college students are no different than anyone else in terms of their lives. It's just that they have access to the finances that allow them to have a higher standard of living than anyone else. I don't think anyone should ever feel as though they are in a world where they are stuck in. We should always strive to find ways to improve our circumstances and to help others.You may wonder what Emily's specific goals were for college. She said that she was trying to keep her college experience as fun as possible. Obviously she did a great job of that. However, if she had pursued her dreams and achieved the life she wanted , she would have spent more money for that same level of experience.Another thing that I always recommend is that students try to make sure that they eat good food and take trips to all the local places that they're dying to visit. This is especially true if they're planning on going back to college and getting a degree in the future. They'll learn a lot about culture and history when they travel and if they stay in one place long enough they'll be able to realize what they already know.Finally, you should always strive to find ways to find your personal fulfillment. The ability to express yourself and to help others is the very foundation of living your life fully. If you go back to college and you work hard, eventually you'll be able to achieve the things that you've wanted to do all along.I hope that you enjoyed this college essay by Emily.
